Participating Artist: Bel Canto Singers
Bel Canto Singers’ Music Director David Quah will join the cast from When Mozart Meets Da Ponte, to share the novelty and fun of experimenting with different genres of music with fellow students.
First part
Using traditional Bel Canto techniques to demonstrate classical opera singing with excerpts from Mozart’s three opera masterpieces Così fan tutte, Le nozze di Figaro and Don Giovanni.
Second part
The speaker will deconstruct the original music to various a cappella arrangements with live demonstrations. Students will get to learn basic a cappella singing technique and sing with the performers.
